CommentI am starting a children writing course and must write a non-fiction article. I would like to write it on marbles but I am having problems finding out how they are made. Would you have any information to give me or would you know of a Internet site where I could find such information. I want to write for children in the 6-12 age group and I think this topic would interest them I tried to get the 'history' information from you site but it was not available I hope you have time to reply to me. Thanks in advance

CommentHello! We will be in Colville from Oct. 18-28, visiting our son. I found your website several months ago, and would love to come and meet you while we are there. I want to place an order from several people that have seen the site, and wonder if I can buy directly when I am there? Also, I have some odd shaped pieces of rock that have been picked up in the desert here. Would you be willing to make me some marbles from those? Please send your address/phone number inthe next couple days, and I will call you when I arrive. Enjoy your day- Penny

CommentAnn, I do not know of any plans to make a book as you suggested for those not attending. You could order the picture and perhaps that would let you know who was in attendance. I have lived in Carlsbad since graduation. I married Loyd Jackson and we had Jackson Const & Plbg. business for 49 years before our retirement in 1995. We have 5 children, 13 grand, 2 gr grand. We are just spending our retirement vacationing and having fun with our family. We just returned from an extensive trip of over 9000 miles. I broke my knee cap on the trip so I am laid up for a while with a broken knee!! I didn't return until Aug 5 so I didn't get to make contact with you. Will try to get the committee to make some kind of report to those in attendance and those not attending. Shirley

A relative has made several pieces of jewelry, clocks, etc. for our family. I will be sending pictures of the reunion when we get back from Gordon and Mary Hamilton's niece's wedding in Portland this weekend.

CommentMy son plays marbles competitively and we are always looking for good agates. Aggies are used as shooters in marbles and are shot at "commies" which are blue glass. Shooters must be less than 3/4" diameter. What size are your aggies? We did find some nice heavy German agates about two years ago, but since then have only found a source in Oregon.
